Announcement

Dear Family,

We are happy to announce that Cyril Alexander Nelson was born at 8:45pm today, April 30th, 2014.  He was 7lbs 9.7oz and 21in long.  Mother and baby are both well.  We thank you for all your prayers and good wishes.

Sleepy Firefighters

I was folding laundry in Edmund's room and he came in to play with his fire station to keep me company.  He kept telling me how the officers were hungry or sleepy.  Then he would set up the table and chairs or bed and say it was time for dinner or, "Shhhh, he's sleeping."  We are so excited to see narrative play from our big boy.

This is our new friend, Mary.  She and her brother, James, who was too busy playing trucks to pose for a picture, have recently joined our play group.   Mary really wanted to hold hands for the picture.  Edmund did not quite understand and kept throwing his hands in the air.  Maybe some day he will figure out gentlemanly behavior.

Arboreal Show, Encore

Edmund was so excited about the second day of tree cutting in the neighborhood that he had to get out his rake (which is his favorite outside tool).  He also got his truck out so that he could ride around while the big trucks were in the area.  

Bucket Swing

Edmund and I went to the park after Bible study this morning.  He had fun in the swing and saying 'bucket swing' over and over.

Arboreal Show

It's bread and tree cutting today in our neighborhood today. Not exactly circuses, but it still made Edmund very happy.

Rainy Day at the Park

Edmund loves the park at the library. What is better than books and slides in one place?

Since it has been such a long, wet, nasty winter we have not been to the park in quite some time.

I kept promising we would go sometime after getting our books. Even though it was starting to spit rain at us we headed up to the slides today.

The worst that happened was a wet rear. The Bear was very happy.  I can't wait for a really gorgeous day to take him back.
