To be a Virginian either by Birth, Marriage, Adoption, or even on one's Mother's side, is an Introduction to any State in the Union, a Passport to any Foreign Country, and a Benediction from Above. ~Anonymous

Dance
After dancing with Miss Tiffany, we were both happy and sweaty. Edmund has quite good rhythm. He loved chasing our feet around. Next time, he is going in the jumper while we practice.

Thank You
To all those who have served or are serving so that we can sleep peacefully each night, we thank you!

Mixing Up Some Fun
Edmund has a cupboard in the kitchen what he is allowed to open and empty. He frequently gets out all the extra spoons and spatulas that I have in there and helps me cook in the evenings. Or he just holds on to the spatulas and wanders around under foot. Both are good options.

Potting Bench
We have rabbits in the neighborhood. They are asking to get themselves some cement shoes as they keep digging up my herb pots and planters. Jonathan and Edmund built this bench to keep the plants out of reach of the cottontails! I am quite pleased with it. Hopefully now my poor seeds will be able to sort out which way is up and start growing.

Best Date in a while
Go Nats... well sorta... Free tickets from Jonathan's coworker who had to go visit her mother, free beers and free hats. Parking under 395. It is like being a grownup again!
Godmother Jenn
They were having a great time! Jenn and Caleb kept Edmund for us while we went out on the best date in a while. It sounds like Edmund ate a ton and especially enjoyed reading books with Jenn

Jungle Jumper
We would like to thank our friends, Luke and Isaiah, for the loan of the jungle jumper. It makes skpying so much more fun!

Middle of the Night
This is the face you get when you went to bed for your evening nap and slept through until almost midnight.

Man Loose in the Kitchen
For Mother's Day this year Jonathan took over all the cooking. We started the day with chocolate chip pancakes and iced coffee.
For lunch after church we enjoyed chicken salad with fresh kalamata olives, watermelon, and peach iced tea.
Dinner was a splendid salmon with a sweet cilantro glaze and jasmine rice with garbanzo beans and radish seeds, paired with a zesty summer salad. The wine of the evening was chose especially with me in mind. It is from our home state and is a sweet white table wine from Chrysalis.
For dessert we enjoyed a Bailey's chocolate pudding with chocolate chips. My husband is amazing. It was so nice to have a break. We should have Mother's Day more often!

Bikers
We love biking! Edmund has now been on his first ride with us. We hope that he will enjoy such treks with us for many years. And if he doesn't then I guess it is good that we have a sturdy harness for that seat.

Sheltering at the Library
Rain drove us from the park into the Library. The kids section is quite fun. Better than I expected. Edmund seemed pleased with it.

Funniest Little Sleeper
Edmund does not sleep all in one place. I put him down face up, going the other direction, and found him down at the bottom of the crib scrunched in the corner.

Not Certain
The small man was not sure if the joke was that good. Natalie found it funny, so it probably was. Guess that is what happens to your sense of humor when you are eating plain celery.
