To be a Virginian either by Birth, Marriage, Adoption, or even on one's Mother's side, is an Introduction to any State in the Union, a Passport to any Foreign Country, and a Benediction from Above. ~Anonymous

Fire Pony
It was not long ago that Edmund did not care for hats. He still does not like them outside or in the cold or when I want him to wear them. He does like to wear them for riding his horse. I cannot argue with the logic behind the preference.
Orange
Corbin and Hundon came to play early this morning. We had so much fun in our orange shirts.
Then we all went to Playgroup at Leah's house. She was not wearing orange, but Paul was. Paul's brother Mark (not pictured) got into the mood with a very snazzy blue and orange plaid shirt. Such handsome young men.

Lollypop
I had to tell him it was like a plug in order to get him to suck on it. Once he found it was sweet he was rather keen to keep it. He and the stick were a sticky, soggy mess when the candy was done. All the new fun things in life!

Cold
Today we decided to brave the cold and head out for a walk. It was chilly, but heavy coat, extra pants, boots, and mittens make for a happy man. We trekked all around the neighborhood and then played in the yard. It was good to get out, but Mother needed hot tea after that.

New Book
The Berenstain Bears Show God's Love
by Stan & Jan Berenstain
There is nothing like going to the grocery store and finding your favorite Bear family has a new collection of stories ready for VDay. Our man loves books, reading, snuggling, and bears. We were quite impressed with the retelling of the Good Samaritan story which opened the book. Five stars!

New Friends
We have a set of friends to enjoy at playgroup. Lizzy (below) and her mom Tiffany (left) have joined our Wednesday fun. We are so glad they could come out and play. Edmund thinks that Tiffany will be a great mom, since she can work the trash truck!Lizzy is very cute and snuggly, but Edmund is not sure why she wears so much pink. The moms told him that is just the way it is when you are a girl.

Sticks & Puddle
Edmund is all boy. It was almost warm out today so after our walk and time in the swing he went round the yard tossing sticks over the fence into the neighbor's yard. I am not sure that she will appreciate the gesture since she just cleans up sticks from her yard, and does not actually play with them. After that he found the puddle of water on basketball hoop and fished in it with two sticks before climbing into it and getting rather wet. Later he decided to start throwing leaves and stuff down the stairs to the basement, and fearing that he would tumble down the stairs I made him come in and get dry. Oh the days ahead. They will be interesting if nothing else, and probably messy.

Pillow
Tigger, blankie, pillow. Notice the is growing up. He is sleeping regularly on a pillow (though he can still go without it), not just when he has a cold. He is under the blankie, and cuddling Tigger. Cuteness increases!
