First Feis

First Feis - Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann at Mount Saint Mary's University, what better place to dance if you are going to look like you just got out of school anyway?  After seeing some of the costumes of the other schools, I am perfectly content with looking like I should be following behind a black clad Sister to the Solarium.  

Thanks to Jonathan and Beth who came out to support me!  Thanks also to Tiff for all the practice, Jen and Christine for all the critiques, pointers, encouragement, and jewelery!  And since it does not matter anyway, I want to point out that I painted my nails red for confidence.  I danced the reel and the light jig, and took 2nd and 3rd.  Then we went out for milkshakes!  Not a bad start to competition.
