Fashion Show

Thanks to Aunt Jenn and Uncle Caleb for the new clothes.  Edmund will be warm and cute this winter.
"Get used to it, Edmund, for the rest of your life girls are going to hand you clothes and say, 'Try this on!'  Then they are going to take your picture and tell you how cute you are."  ~Uncle Caleb

Hostage

A handsome rake has taken your wife.  You have to come rescue her!  And he is quite handy with the three-finger underhand sword grip.

Found Winnie ther Pooh

Edmund pulled Pooh over to himself all by himself.  Then he tried to eat Pooh.  I think they shall be great friends.  Doesn't a beautiful friendship start by chewing on the other's nose?

Edmund

Our little handsome man!

Swim with Mother

The pool at the lodge was wonderful.  The water was about 80 degrees and very pleasant.  Once you got out of the pool the lodge felt cold.  But we all warmed up quickly enough.  We aren't blue from exposure, just the colour of the lights and the room.

Lock up your computers...

...and your daughters.  Our nephew is super smart and super cute.  Keep your smartphones hidden while you are at it.

Hanging with the Aunts and Uncle

Going out for a swim

Asleepingg

With Uncle David, while the parents are off for a ride.

On the trail

We decided to go for a ride as a family.  David and the Great-Grands volunteered to watch the boys for us.  My horse was named Red, and Jonathan rode Tom.  It was a beautiful day for a slow stroll through the park.
This was Jonny's first ride, and he did not fall off.  Jonathan looks so Western there in the back of the line.

Breakfast Song for Grampa

Joy to the world, its Black Friday!
The stores are open now.
We've gone to empty our bank accounts,
and buy your Christmas gifts,
and buy your Christmas gifts,
and buy, and buy your Christmas gifts.

(Jonathan's grandfather has been teaching us all some barber shop tags, so we composed this for him at breakfast while we were waiting for our eggs and bacon.  Fortunately, the order came and no other verses were sung.)

My Uncle Is So Funny

This Thanksgiving we are joining Jonathan's extended family at Pipestem State Park in those breakaway counties which are now so reviled as the butt of many jokes. The drive was smooth and we hit no traffic. Hopefully, that bodes well for our return at the end of the trip. David was a big help getting the truck unpacked. He and the little man spent some time enjoying each other before Edmund went to bed.

Worn out moving

We helped some friends move today.   It was a bit much for the small assistant.

Party-hards!

Our friend Gail threw an amazing party for the all those who have some interest in a certain series of books which have been made into a very popular movie saga.

The party was at Cici's house and she and Edmund posed with the "special guests."

Jonathan was deputized as bartender.

His telling off of the "special guest" which would have made Charlie proud.

After Jonathan left it took two ladies to make up for his skill with the drinks.  Also, the high body temperature of the other "guest" burns off the alcohol in the beverage quite quickly, just like morphine, in case you are wondering.

Eating Peas

First veggies were not received well.  We still like milk best.

Half In, Half Out

Edmund fell asleep in my arms and the sling while I was sorting dill seeds from their stems. His plug was sneaking out of his mouth during the nap.  I was able to deposit him in bed without really waking him.

Remote

Edmund loves to hold stuff. He has started to actually grasp things. He especially wants whatever we are holding.

Kindle

Still working on Caesar. They seem to be enjoying it.
