To be a Virginian either by Birth, Marriage, Adoption, or even on one's Mother's side, is an Introduction to any State in the Union, a Passport to any Foreign Country, and a Benediction from Above. ~Anonymous

Biking the W&OD to Clarke's Gap
And back! We all made it and we were all glad that only Uncle David had to go back for the lost water bottle. It was such a beautiful day! Thanks for all the fun!

Night, Night
“I think we dream so we don’t have to be apart for so long. If we’re in each other’s dreams, we can be together all the time.”

Bricks
Today Edmund is enjoying the backyard. I have added the line of bricks to help keep down the weeding between the courtyard and the "garden". Edmund can life the bricks and move them around (hence the extras so that the line stays in place).

Walking Along
Hi, just out for a walk. Also, I found my pockets. They are quite fun! Mom likes this poem about pockets.
LITTLE BOYS POCKET
Do you know what's in my pottet?Such a lot of treasures in it
Listen now while I bedinit.
Such a lot of sings it holds
And everysing dats in my pottet
And when and where and how I dot it!
First of all here's in my pottet
A beauty shell I pit'd it up
and here's the handle of a tup
That someone has braked at tea
The shell's a hole in it you see.
Nobody knows dat I've dot it.
I teep it safe in my pottet.
And here's my pennies one,two,free
That Aunt Mary Dave to me.
To-morrow I will buy a spade
When I'm out walking with the maid
I tan't put dat in my pottet
But I can use it when I've dot it.
Here's some more sings in my pottet
Here's my bead and here's my string
And once I hand an iron ring
But through a hole it lost one day
And this is what I always say
A hole's the worst sing in a pottet
Be sure and mend it when you've dot it.

Waiting In Wonder
I wanted to share with you the amazing confluence of my life. A friend, Catherine Claire Larson, has published the pictured book, Waiting In Wonder. It is a devotional journal or expectant mothers. It is quite encouraging and I am looking forward to using it if Edmund ever gets a sibling. I am also excited to be able to give it to friends who are populating the earth. I won the pictured iPad in a push to get the word out about the book. In the background is a baby afghan I have just finished for our new nephew Nathan Samuel. We are so glad he has joined our family. With the iPad we will be enjoying some FaceTime with our new cousin.
